樂人簡介
Daniel Ka-Lok Tam began playing the oboe aged 8 under the guidance of Danny Yau. He then moved to England, obtaining his BA in Music from the University of East Anglia before pursuing his Master in Performance at the Royal College of Music, London, where he received the Evelyn Rothwell Oboe Prize.
A keen orchestral musician, Daniel had played under the baton of renowned conductors such as Sir Colin Davis and Jiří Bělohlávek. Since returning to Hong Kong, Daniel has become a freelance player of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
As a soloist, he had given recitals at the Norwich Assembly House and had performed the Haydn Concerto (attrib.) with the UEA Symphony Orchestra at the Norwich St Andrews Hall. Daniel also formed a chamber group; a wind trio named ‘Tropical Winds’ which combined oboe, clarinet and bassoon at the RCM.
